What is 25I-NBOMe, 25C, 25B or 4-iodo-2,5-dimethoxy-N-(2-methoxybenzyl) phenethylamine? IT’s FAKE LSD and a derivative of the phenethylamine class chemical 2C-I which also acts as a central nervous system stimulant in humans. It was discovered in 2003 by Ralf Heim at the Free University of Berlin and hit the club drug scene in 2010 and more recently become a notorious cause of death for some unsuspecting celeb users.
Tryptamines
4-AcO-DMT is probably the most popular chemical in the series, and is almost indistinguishable from a traditional shrooms experience. Shroom’s contain Psilocybin (4-PO-DMT), which metabolizes into Psilocin (4-HO-DMT) in the body. 4-AcO-DMT tends to be a more serious and introspective experience, with fairly strong visuals and often accompanied by mystical or religious tones.
The 2C-X typically last 4-6 hours, although some of them can last much longer. In general they tend to have stimulating effects, both in terms of headspace and body-load. The visuals can also be described as more ‘Synthetic’ than the organic looking visuals of tryptamines. Unfortunately most of these are scheduled in the US, with the exception of 2C-B-FLY, which is a more stimulating and em-pathogenic version of 2C-B. It also tends to have drastically different responses in different researchers. Some of them say it’s not worthwhile at all, and some people think it’s their favorite psych.
The other common 2Cs that are still available include the following:
Some of the rarer 2Cs include 2C-T, 2C-T-21, and 2C-iP. The first 2 mentioned are described to have similar em-pathogens and limited unique psychedelic effects, which the last one is said to be largely similar to 2C-P. Other 2Cs, like 2C-B and 2C-I are scheduled worldwide and can’t really be considered RC’s anymore.
What 25i-NBOMe is, presented its self as anew class of synthetic drugs nearly a decade ago, designed to mimic the effects of other illicit substances already linked to several deaths around the world. There’s no way of knowing what RC you might get on a blotter, and could be something no one’s ever heard of . Did that ever cross your mind?
